About the PI

Prof. George Cutsail

George hails from the US, and grew up in Maryland. He attended college in Baltimore, before heading to Chicago for graduate school.  After he finished his PhD, he came to Germany for a postdoc experience, and was an AvH Postdoc Fellow.  In 2019, he first started his independent research group as an Max Planck Research Group Leader at the MPI for Chemical Energy Conversion.  George joined LMU in Febuary 2025.
